Timo Glock to spend overnight in Hospital
By Luke Marc Carlile-Stanton July 20 2008
the news filitering through from Germany is that Toyota driver Timo Glock is to spend the night in hospital after the German drivers heavy crash in the German Grand Prix earlier today. He had been hoping for a good result to celebrate his first home Formula One race.

Timo suffered a problem with his right rear tyre on lap 37 of the grand prix and he was turned into a spin off the final corner which led into a big smash into the pit wall. Timo's car rolled down the track backwards before stopping by a braking metre board on the star-finish straight.

He has escaped injury but all saftey measures are being taken meaning that he will spend the night in hospital. team principal Tadashi Yamashina seemed upbeat on his condition though.

''Timo is fine, thankfully, and that is the most important thing, Obviously it was a heavy impact and he did not get out of the car immediately, so he was taken to the circuit medical centre, as is the normal procedure in these incidents.'' he said

"There was no sign of any injury but he was taken from there to a hospital for further precautionary checks, including X-rays. He has now completed these tests and they have confirmed he is fine. He has no concussion." Yamashina continued.

It is expected that he will take part in the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest in two weeks time.

Timo's accident caused the sfatey car to be deployed and Toyota revealed that they looked at Jarno's car at the stop to check for no signs that a repeat of the crash could be caused.

The good news though is that Timo is fine.
