Jarno: “At the moment it is not a done deal”
By Nick Sparkes July 13 2006
After we reported yesterday that Jarno Trulli was about to sign a new 3 year contract with Toyota, the Italian who drove to the teams best qualifying position of the year yesterday has told the BBC that he is still in talks and nothing has been put in writing.
Jarno told the BBC “At the moment it is not a done deal” but “at the moment we are still in talks”. The majority of the TotallyToyotaF1.com message board posters greeted the new deal with a huge thumbs up after months of speculation.

Jarno also highlighted his reasons for joining and wanting to stay with Toyota. "You have to look at what is the team's potential and I really believe that in terms of potential there is no team as strong as Toyota can be." It has been clear for sometime that Jarno wants to stick with Toyota, more than any other team.

Toyota were unable to comment on these rumours although an announcement should be expected soon.
