The 2008 US Grand Prix had seen Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi extend his MotoGP World Championship points lead to 25, with rivals Casey Stoner (Ducati) and Dani Pedrosa (Honda) having various difficulties. The Czech Republic race was round twelve, with Rossi a five-time former winner at Brno, Pedrosa with two successes and Stoner last year’s top man. More..
