By BMW Sauber F1 Team August 29 2008
On Thursday, the BMW Sauber F1 Team continued its three-day testing programme in Monza, Italy. Again, Nick Heidfeld was on duty for the Munich and Hinwil-based team, topping the time-sheets on the "Autodromo Nazionale di Monza". Weather conditions were again sunny all day, with the temperatures reaching up to 31 degrees Celsius.

Nick completed a total of 89 laps on the 5.793-kilometre track. His fastest lap was clocked at 1:22.621 minutes, thus being the fastest driver of the session.

Today Nick concentrated on setup work with regards to the upcoming Italian Grand Prix. Working on the low down force configuration for the Monza race the team tried different aerodynamic solutions. Running without major technical problems Nick also sampled the tyre options for the Italian Grand Prix. Again the team made good progress concluding Nick's part of the Monza test.

For the last day of the Monza test tomorrow Robert Kubica will be at the wheel of the BMW Sauber F1.08. Setup work for the Italian Grand Prix will be his main focus.
