Who's name will be spelt?
One of these names is Ralf Schumacher, however in recent comments to the press it would seem that the German, who was the slowest man on track on the day he tested, has ruled himself out.
There are also ex-Red Bull proteges Tonio Liuzzi, after being kicked out of Toro Rosso in favour of Sebastien Bourdais, and Christian Klien who hasn't had a race drive since 2006.
Giancarlo Fisichella, now definitely on the market after Renault's announcement of Fernando Alonso and Nelsinho Piquet Jr as their race drivers for 2008, seems very keen to drive for the team he drove at for 3 seasons in the past.
Ex-Super Aguri driver Franck Montagny has tested for the team, as have Giedo van der Garde and Roldan Rodriguez.
However, with these much more experienced drivers interested, it is perhaps difficult to comprehend that the team would opt for one of these inexperienced men. Roldan Rodriguez, it seems, would disagree, with the Spanish media reporting him as estimating his chances of grabbing the second seat stand at 75%.
Along with Pedro de la Rosa and Heikki Kovalainen, the name Adrian Sutil is still being batted around with reference to the second McLaren seat, alongside Lewis Hamilton. The German, though, does have a contract with Force for 2008, something which Mallya alluded to in his interview with F1.com.
