Mallya 'quite happy' with drivers
By Karl King August 11 2008
It looks likely that Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil will continue to race for Force India in the 2009 season. In an interview with the official F1 website, team owner Vijay Mallya stated that he is 'quite happy' with the current drivers, leaving it looking very likely the pair will continue as team mates into the next season.

There are likely to be other options for Mallya. Current test driver Tonio Liuzzi would surely jump at the chance to race again, and Mallya has made no secret of his desire for an Indian driver with speculation that GP2 driver Karun Chandhok could be in with a chance.

However, he told F1.com, "I have two good drivers and you must understand that for Force India my needs are somewhat unique.

"The experience of Giancarlo is invaluable to me and Adrian has lots of talent. I think he is improving race by race, becoming more consistent.

"I am quite happy with them. More importantly, they have a great attitude that will help me to face the challenges of tomorrow and I think they will be very satisfied driving the 2009 car, which I personally am sure will be a significant improvement and a big surprise."
