30 people may get fired.
By Gunman November 24 2007
According to several sources, Super Aguri is going to fire a few people from its staff. They need to do this in order to make sure they'll have enough money to race in 2008. These are bad news for 120 people that currently work at Leafield, just before Christmas!

This is a result of the lack of funding for Super Aguri. In order to keep their current strength, the team needs to reduce the number of people currently working at Leafield. A spokesperson had this to say:

"We have said all year we are a small team. We are beginning our third year now and all year we have said we required extra funding. What we are doing now is unfortunate. We hope that the people identified are able to get jobs in other parts of the company or the Formula 1 industry."

Because of the whole customer car controversy, a lot of potential investors are waiting to see what happens before they decide to have any relationship with Super Aguri. The team is also involved in legal actions with SS United and former test driver Giedo van der Garde. The outcome of these cases involves millions of dollars.

This is all unfortunate, but necessary.

I would have used the word "Layed-off" not fired.
