US Open - Ladies' Final - Serving Up A Treat

"I have tears in my eyes," Jelena Jankovic told us after she beat Dementieva to finally reach a US Open final in what was her 5th semi-final at Flushing Meadows. Having watched her do the splits several times during her win she wasn't the only one with tears in her eyes but Jankovic's were tears of joy...we presume. With the world number one spot up for grabs Jankovic takes on the formidable Serena Williams in the final. The american has looked back to her best on her way to the final but with a 3-3 record against the Serbian, all on hard courts, a 2nd US Open crown is by no means a gimme. Of the matches Serena has won Jankovic twice forced her to a deciding set. If Serena maintains her form then it's hard to see Jankovic winning but she'll have to do it by split decision.
